Fresh off the forge

Releases

What just shipped, in plain language. New toys up top, quiet fixes tucked below.

  1. June 18, 2026

    Head-to-Head opens in Champion mode

    • Head-to-Head now starts in Champion mode. The king-of-the-hill loop, where the skin you pick stays on to face a fresh challenger, runs the moment you arrive, so you're defending a favorite right away. Shuffle is still one tap away, tucked in with the other controls.

    • Your champion lights up from the very first pick. The glow, and the color it burns, now builds with every single defence, warming from gold to amber to a full blaze, instead of only catching fire after a six-streak. You can feel the run growing from the start.

    Also fixed (4)
    • The Head-to-Head header was tidied up: the title and controls share one row now, with a clean scoreboard underneath, your session, best reign, battles fought, and community totals, the numbers rolling as they climb.
    • Tooltips throughout Head-to-Head now match the rest of the site instead of the plain browser ones, crisp dark panels that are easy to read.
    • On a milestone streak, the celebratory sound now replaces the normal pick sound instead of playing on top of it.
    • Head-to-Head runs smoother, especially during short runs: the champion fire stays light on your device until a reign goes deep.
  2. June 17, 2026

Splashdle & Chroma Vision: a second kind of hint

    • Splashdle and Chroma Vision now give you a second warm hint. Guess a skin from the same skin line as the answer, even a different champion, and it lights up blue with the line named, sitting right next to the gold 'right champion' hint. One more nudge toward the answer, and it shows up in your shared result grid too.

    • It pays off most in Chroma Vision: a skin line shares a color palette, so a blue hint is a sign you're reading the colors right.

    Head-to-Head: crown a champion

    • A whole new way to play Head-to-Head: Champion mode. Instead of a fresh pair every round, the skin you pick stays on and takes on a new challenger, so you're defending a favorite for as long as it can keep winning. Flip between Shuffle and Champion right above the cards.

    • Go on a run and your champion catches fire. Every defence stacks a streak, and once it hits six in a row the card ignites: a crown, a lit frame, and a flaming border that keeps growing thicker, faster, and more colorful the longer the reign lasts, with embers, a jolt on every pick, and sound to match (mute it anytime). There's no ceiling, a thirty-streak blazes harder than a fifteen.

    • Your best reign is saved, so there is always a record to chase.

    Also fixed (4)
    • Picking too fast no longer ends your reign. The game just tells you to ease off, and your champion keeps standing.
    • The battle toolbar was reorganized: the Shuffle/Champion toggle sits right above the matchup, with your stats and controls tucked alongside.
    • Fixed a rare hiccup where a slow-loading splash could move the crown onto the wrong skin.
    • Behind the scenes: one person can no longer push a single skin up the rankings by voting it over and over, their sway over any one skin is now capped, while every battle still counts.

    Head-to-Head cards come alive

    • The two battle cards now tilt toward your cursor in 3D as you move across them, with a sweep of gold light over the splash, the same life the Tier Drop daily card has. Picking one squares the whole card up with a satisfying shrink before the next pair steps in.

    • Want a closer look before you commit? Hover either card and a magnifier appears in the corner. Tap it to blow the splash art up full-screen, no vote spent.

  5. June 16, 2026

Tier Drop now hands you the whole set

    • Tier Drop now deals a champion's entire skin set instead of just a slice of it. The biggest wardrobes, Lux, Miss Fortune, Ezreal, all twenty-plus skins, come complete, so you can rank the whole thing in one sitting.

    • The daily set card came alive: it tilts toward your cursor in 3D with a sweep of gold light as you move across it.

    Also fixed (4)
    • The Tier Drop menu cards now respond the instant you hover them, instead of easing in a beat late.
    • The Tier Drop page drops straight into its content on load, instead of flashing a placeholder that didn't match it.
    • Tier Drop now lives at skinbattle.lol/battle/tier-drop to match its name. Old links and shared tier-list cards redirect automatically.
    • Behind the scenes: a tier list now feeds the live rankings on the same schedule as battles, and no single submission can swing one skin out of proportion, so the rankings stay honest as Tier Drop grows.
  6. June 16, 2026

Daily puzzles now reset at midnight Central

    • The daily puzzles, Splashdle, Chroma Vision, and Price Point, now refresh at midnight US Central time instead of midnight UTC. A fresh puzzle lands first thing in the morning for North America instead of mid-afternoon. The countdown on every game points at the new moment, and it follows daylight saving, so midnight always means midnight.

  7. June 16, 2026

    Battles decide the rankings

    • Stars and bans are gone. The skins you pick in battle now decide the rankings outright, instead of a separate 'spend your 10 stars and 10 bans' vote running alongside them. One ranking, and every pick you make feeds it.

    Also fixed (2)
    • The Awards and My Votes pages retired along with the old voting. Their links now take you straight to the full ranking.
    • Your battles, your Mirror tier list, and your stats are all untouched.
  8. June 15, 2026

Tier Drop: rank any set you want

    • Build a tier list for any set you can think of. Pick a champion, a skin line, a release year, a price tier, or a rarity, and sort it from S all the way down to D. Can't decide where to start? Hit Surprise Me for a case-opening style spin that drops you on a random set.

    • See how everyone else ranked it. A new community page shows the tier lists players are making, filterable by champion, skin line, year, price, or rarity. Tap any one to rank the same set yourself.

    Also fixed (4)
    • Tier List is now Tier Drop. Same game, sharper name.
    • Submitting a board animates straight into your results, your finished board comes back if you've already ranked it, and your 'how you compare to the crowd' stats now sit right on top of it.
    • The top nav slimmed to three doors, Play, Rankings, and your Mirror, and the footer became a full map of the site, so Champions, search, and the deeper rankings are always a click away.
    • Fixed the gold community-ranking border getting clipped when you hovered a skin on your board.
  9. June 15, 2026

    Tier Lists arrive

    • Sort a champion's entire wardrobe into S, A, B, C, and D tiers in one sitting, then see how your take stacks up against everyone else's, hot takes and all. One tier list moves the rankings as much as dozens of head-to-head battles. Find it alongside Head-to-Head.

    Also fixed (2)
    • Tier list links now unfurl with a proper share card on Discord, Twitter, and Reddit, so sharing a board actually looks like an invitation.
    • Fixed a crash that could hit when you undid your most recent battle vote.
  10. June 15, 2026

    Every skin gets its turn

    • The arena now spreads battles across the whole roster. Matchmaking gives priority to skins that haven't fought yet, so the rankings fill in across every champion instead of fixating on a popular few, and brand-new skins get worked into the rotation automatically.

    • Rankings stay alive. A skin's standing can keep shifting over time instead of freezing once it settles, so as more people vote the rankings keep reflecting the community rather than the first handful of votes.

  11. June 15, 2026

    Head-to-Head answers back

    • Every Head-to-Head pick now tells you what it did: where that skin sits in the live ranking, how far it just climbed, and how the rest of the room voted on that exact matchup: “you're the first to pick this” or “521 players agree with you.”

    • A "More ways to play" shelf now lives at the bottom of every game, so you can jump straight between Head-to-Head and the daily puzzles from anywhere.

    • The daily games show the crowd too: each guess tells you how many other players made the same call for today’s puzzle.

    Also fixed (4)
    • Price Check is now Price Point.
    • You can undo your most recent Head-to-Head pick if you mis-clicked.
    • Daily games open with a snappier entrance, and the daily card now shows your streak and a live countdown to the next puzzle.
    • Tidied up the Head-to-Head cards so the only thing to do is pick a side.
  12. June 12, 2026

New skins now land here the same week Riot ships them

    • The catalog now tracks brand-new releases almost in real time. Prices, release dates, and skin lines update within days of a patch, so the newest drops are battle-ready while the hype is still hot.

    • The Battle tab caught fire. Literally. Watch for the embers.

    Also fixed (3)
    • Cleared out phantom "skins" that were really chromas with no splash art of their own.
    • Restored splash art for a handful of skins that were hiding behind outdated image names.
    • Dropdown menus now stay lit while you browse them and close when you click anywhere else.
  13. June 11, 2026

Chroma Vision, leaderboards, and accounts that keep everything

    • Chroma Vision is live: name the skin from its colors alone. The splash starts as a handful of colored blocks and sharpens with every miss. Six guesses. Good luck.

    • Leaderboards are open: fastest daily solves, longest streaks, and the biggest battle volumes, with your name on them once you sign in.

    • Creating an account now keeps everything you earned as a guest: your streaks, your battles, your tier list. Nothing resets. Ever.

    • The whole site reorganized around three doors: Battle, Rankings, and Skins. Everything is now at most two clicks away.

    Also fixed (1)
    • Your profile and your Mirror merged into one page, so your tier list, stars, and stats finally live together.
  14. June 11, 2026

The games arrive: Splashdle, Head-to-Head, Price Point, and your Mirror

    • Splashdle: name the skin from a tiny sliver of its splash art. A fresh puzzle every midnight UTC and a streak to defend.

    • Head-to-Head: two skins, pick one, repeat forever. Every pick moves the community rankings the instant you click, and the site tells you exactly what your vote just did.

    • The Mirror: a personal tier list that builds itself from your battles, plus your most contrarian takes and the skin lines you secretly over-love.

    • Price Point: guess what each skin cost in RP. Five skins a day. Harder than it sounds.

    • Every skin got a permanent page, the rankings learned to slice by price, skin line, champion, and year, and the Drought Index now ranks every champion by days since their last skin.

    Also fixed (2)
    • Signing in is sturdier and your profile shows real data from your first visit.
    • Cards and buttons answer every click immediately, even on a slow connection.
